What Is the Difference Between 5-MeO DMT and DMT Therapy

by | Jul 2, 2022

Subconscious Retreats

Imagine choosing between two experiences. In the first, your vision fills with brightly colored fractals that are so beautiful they take you beyond comprehension and into an otherworldly plane.

Where entities from all around come together to meet their newest visitor in what feels like an eternity.

But could just be minutes before fading out again when it’s time for this experience not only to stop being felt by yourself anymore

But also fade away completely until there is nothing left behind except peace

In the second You’ve finally found the perfect escape.

5-MEO-DMT

You are taken on a journey that is both breathtaking and mind-altering,

Leaving you with an understanding of life never before experienced by anyone else in this way. The first experience was so intense it’s difficult to get back into your daily routine after emerging from such a profound journey.

The first is typical of vaporized DMT, while the second is typical of 5-MEO-DMT. Though they share a name and some similarities in their brief and intense effects, the two are worlds apart.

Even in terms of chemical structure, 5-MEO-DMT differs from DMT about as much as psilocybin does.

Both have been used for thousands of years in traditional South American shamanic practices, but in different regions and for different purposes.

The differences in their subjective effects cannot be overstated, so it’s critical to understand what each one has to offer—and which is best for a person seeking psychedelic treatment.

DMT

DMT is a truly ancient molecule with properties we have yet to fully grasp. It’s found in plants and animals,

from underwater coral-like organisms all the way up to mammals!

In humans alone, it can be produced naturally by our bodies, but some say this occurs naturally within every living thing.

Which would mean Dmt has somehow intertwined with life itself!

An idea not too far off when you think about how evolutionarily recent human beings are compared to other species on Earth (a really big question mark!).

DMT has a long history of shamanic use in traditional ayahuasca brews, which incorporate DMT-rich root bark with other plants that also contain a substance known as an MAOI (monoamine oxidase inhibitor, for the truly curious).

The MAOI prolongs DMT’s half-life in our bodies, allowing the psychedelic experience to last for hours.

The curative potential of this concoction has received more attention in recent years, particularly as a remedy for drug addiction.

In contrast to the “harsh patriarch” of ibogaine, ayahuasca therapy is referred to as the “kind matriarch,” assisting people in removing any barriers to the interpersonal connection they may have built up.

5-MEO-DMT

There is a strong connection between 5-MeO-DMT and DMT. Both drugs appear in many plants, animals, and humans but have not been found to date within one another’s heads due probably because of their slightly different origins on either side (a change which makes all the difference).

This means that while some users experience visuals with both substances others report shifting perspectives when taking them whereas others still say nothing at all before becoming aware again after experiencing what feels like a near-death experience.

5-MeO-DMT has traditional, shamanic use as well in the form of powerful “yopo” or powder blown forcefully into one’s nose.

Being somewhat more obscure than DMT (actively marketed for its ability to produce healings), 5meottdmt may be useful when used along with ibogaine treatment.

Which targets substance addiction by allowing patients’ experiences from addiction to undergo integration while giving them inspiration at times after therapy.

There are many healing medicines in the natural world that have not yet been explored. One such substance is DMT,

This may help those trying to open themselves up by giving a long-lasting ayahuasca experience and bringing back insights from their travels outside of our reality.

However, 5MeO damages one’s sense of self when used short-term because it makes one feel like they’ve become one with everything including the universe.
